The Exodus Recovery 24-Hour Mental Health Urgent Care Center (UCC) is a welcoming environment where individuals in crisis can be assessed for stabilization services, medication evaluation, and management, or hospitalization if necessary. Depending on the needs of the client, our interdisciplinary treatment team is prepared to offer a full spectrum of psychiatric treatment services, including linkage to crisis housing, shelter beds, sober living, community-based outpatient program services, and inpatient treatment for mental health or substance abuse. The Urgent Care Center is LPS designated which allows our staff to evaluate and involuntarily detain those individuals determined to be a danger to themselves or others or gravely disabled. These clients will receive comprehensive mental health services for up to 23 hours while enrolled at the UCC.

Step Up
Potential members can come in for an initial screening between 8:30 am – 1:00 pm Monday – Thursday to Step Up On Second at 1328 Second Street, Santa Monica, CA 90401. After the screening, you will receive an appointment for an intake. The only documentation that is needed is proof of diagnosis.
After completion of intake appointment, the potential member becomes a provisional member for 30 days, with access to all general services: meals, groups, showers, laundry, referrals, and support. After the 30 days provisional membership, members can request additional services,

The Access Center in downtown Santa Monica serves as a safe space open daily for these vulnerable individuals to use. It is the point of entry for program participants. Services such as daily sack lunches and other meal programs, referrals to interim housing, community resources, a mail and message service, case management, emergency services, and benefits assistance. Additional services include: SHWASHLOCK: A shower, laundry, and locker program designed to provide program participants with the ability to maintain their hygiene. Also, an onsite medical suite in partnership with Venice Family Clinic provides much needed medical care to program participants Monday – Friday.
