Dear Bridge Family,                                                                                                                                             June 25, 2020

I hope things are well with you and your family. I wanted to update you on a couple of things. First in regards to when we will go to live church. As you know with Covid-19, we are still mandated to social distance and wear masks. The challenge for us is the size of our sanctuary at the ministry center. It would be very difficult for us to do live church effectively under the regulations that we currently have. Because of this, we will continue to do church online. We are looking at other options, like doing church in the park, but as of right now the city of El Segundo and Hawthorne are not excepting applications for park usage permits. We will continue to monitor this.

Secondly, an update on our rebranding process and move to Da Vinci. I wanted you to know that we are making great progress in our rebranding and I look forward to when we will introduce our new vision and mission as “Bridge South Bay.” There is still a lot of work ahead of us but I am filled with anticipation and excitement for the relaunch of our church at Da Vinci. The timing on the move to Da Vinci will be determined by what happens with the Corona Virus. We will continue to monitor this as well.

With that said, I wanted to finish with a word of encouragement and direction. We are literally living in unprecedented times! Between a pandemic, racial tension, and political unrest there is a lot before us. Can I encourage you today that all though we are in uncertain times, God is not uncertain. With so much going on around us, it is easy to take our eyes off of Jesus and focus on the problems before us. The most important thing we can do in the midst of the storm is to keep our eyes on the prize, Jesus! The Apostle Paul wrote…

“Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2  Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” Colossians 3:1-2 NIV

With our hearts and minds on Jesus, I believe God will give us direction on how to be a part of the solution and not the problem. Let’s press in together, spend time with Jesus every day, seek His face, and pray. It is in those quiet places that the Holy Spirit will give you direction and action steps to make a difference.

“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’” Jeremiah 33:3 NIV

I pray peace, comfort, and joy to fill you today as we live our lives to bring glory to the Kingdom of God!

In His Grip,
Pastor Rob
